Ms. Lauryn Mary Evelyn Ross graced this world on May 24, 2005 to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Jr. and Jacqueline Ross and to her older brother, Dwight Ross, III. She passed away unexpectedly on October 7, 2020 at her home in Jackson, Mississippi.
For fifteen years, Lauryn displayed her entrepreneurial spirit by developing a love for arts and crafts, sewing, hair styling and care. She was a tenth (10th) grade International Baccalaureate student at Jim Hill High School where she participated in the chorus and was a member of the track team.
Lauryn shared her life with her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Ross, and maternal grandparents, Mrs. Laura Vickers and the late Mr. Sylvester Vickers. Her paternal grandfather, the late Mr. Dwight Ross, Sr., paternal great-grandparents, the late Mr. Robert and Mrs. Elma Brakefield, maternal great-grandparents, the late Mr. John and Mrs. Ruth Vickers and the late Mr. Hamilton, Sr. and Mrs. Janie Brown who preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents, brother, and grandmothers, Lauryn leaves to cherish her life, her uncles; Mr. Sibrock (Shelia) Ross of Jackson, Mississippi and Mr. Sabata (Changela) Vickers of Huntsville, Alabama; her beloved cousins, Zahriah Ross, Autumn Vickers, and Savannah Vickers and host of great uncles and aunts, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
Everyone will remember the precious moments of Lauryn’s life and passing by embracing one another with com-passion, concern, and love through patience, prayer, and presence from this day forward. As the scriptures en-courage, let all who knew her “Love ye, one another. Pray ye, one for another, and bear one another’s burdens.”
