Obituary

Mrs. Laura Betty Ingram Beale was born on June 12, 1931, God blessed the union of the late Willie Ingram, Sr. and Elveter Day Ingram with a beautiful daughter, Laura Betty Ingram.

Laura received an education in the Plainville School System and in later years received her High School Diploma on February 15, 1984 in Detroit, MI. She worked as a Child Care Giver and was very proud of the job she performed. Better known as MaMa, Grandma and Aunt Laura, she had a love and compassion for her family members, and friends. She was very funny and loved to laugh.

She confessed Christ at an early age. She live the majority of her life in the Chicago, IL and Detroit, MI cities. Laura always attended services in the cities that she lived. After moving back to Jackson, Mississippi she became a member of Tabernacle of Praise under the leadership of Elder Timothy Curry, and attended faithfully until her death.


Laura was married to Mr. Thomas J. Bradfield and to this union two children was born: Hattie Bradfield and Elveter Bradfield. Her daughter, Hattie Bradfield Carter preceded her in death.  Late in life, she married Alfred Beale who preceded her in death.
 

On Friday, October 29, 2021, she transitioned from this earth to her heavenly home.
 

Laura leaves to cherish her loving memories: one daughter, Elveter Berry of Detroit, MI; three sisters: Lou Willie Ingram and Mary Alice Ingram of Jackson, MS; Rilla (Henry) Cooper of Yazoo City, MS; four brothers: Leroy (Lonnia) Little of Chicago, IL; Sylvester Ingram and Marion Ingram of Vaughn, MS; and John Wesley Ingram of Yazoo City, MS; one step-sister, Eliza Alic of Jackson, MS; one sister-in-law, Fannie Ingram of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren: Latriece B. Ridgell, Arthur S. Berry, Vernita S. Young, Ruud Schaffer, Tasha Carter and Tana Carter Blue; eight great grandchildren: Tiayna M. Ridgell, Tacara M. Berry, Arnika Doster, Armon Doster, Savannah Young, Leonard Young, Richard Young, and Arius Berry; three great-great grandchildren: Queen Naomi Grace Faval, Ah’Kayla Doster and A’Von Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, the Tabernacle of Praise family who loved her dearly.

Mrs. Beale was also preceded in death by five Sisters; Ruthie M. Ingram, Odessa Ingram, Elizabeth Walker, Anges Bradfield, and Annie Williams. Three Brothers; Willie Ingram, Jr, Robert Ingram and George Hollis.

Viewing for Mrs. Beale will begin on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Peoples Funeral Home, 886 North Farish Street, Jackson, Mississippi from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura B. Beale will be at Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church, 1917 Forest Avenue, Jackson, Mississippi at 11:00 a.m.  Monday, November 8, 2021 with her final resting place being, Autumn Woods Cemetery, 4000 West Northside Drive, Jackson, Mississippi.
