Mr. Eric James Cooper, Sr., was born on Sunday June 23, 1968 in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Mr. Willie James Carter and Ms. Alinda June Cooper.
Mr. Eric was the youngest of his mother's two children. He often spoke of his time playing football and starting his fitness regimen while attended high school. Eric later went to finish his education at Jackson State University / Electrical Engineering program that eventually lead him to a career as an Electrician. He worked in Law Enforcement and Security while living in Chicago, IL.
Eric was a member of St. Matthew's Baptist Church, although he did not have a church home during his transition, his faith and spirituality were strong. Eric was fondly nicknamed Fred Sandford because he would find his treasure in the trash each time. He was natural-born carpenter, he also enjoyed creating beautiful pieces of furniture. He had a loved for RC Cars, Drones, and a fixation on televisions.
Eric would throw a party every weekend just because he enjoyed cooking and making people happy. Last but not least, Eric was a member of the WHO DAT NATION. he was A Loyal New Orleans Saints Fan.
Eric transcended from this earth life on Sunday December 27, 2020. to be at peace with his heavenly father. He is preceded in death by his parents, older brother Jerrell C. Cooper grandparents Lynch (Bogus) Cooper, Sr., an Jimmie Amiker-Cooper. and His Uncle Lynch Cooper, Jr., He is survived by his current wife Dr. Theresa Kearns-Cooper, three stepsons, Klaven S. Jones, II of Brooklyn, NY Curtis J. Jones, Jermaine M. Jones (Lauran) from Orlando, FL. Eric is also survived by his oldest son, Patrick Kidd, (Princess of Dallas, TX. and Malinda Gregory (Daniel ), Jeanell Cooper, Charles Cooper, Eric James Cooper, Jr.,(Jessica Cooper) and his step son Robert T. Jimerson (Elonda Jimerson form his first wife, Charlotte. Daughter Auri, sixteen (16) grandchildren, uncle Roy Cooper with a plethora of Cousins and a ton of FRIENDS.
Mr. Eric James Cooper, Sr., will be having Memorial Services on June 23, 2021 time 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. here in Peoples Funeral Chapel.
