Deryl Lynn Knox, Sr. was born on October 10, 1955 to the late Charles L. Knox, Sr and Ruth Allen of McComb, MS.
Deryl accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Flowery Mount Baptist Church where he was also a member of the youth choir. Deryl graduated from McComb High School in 1973. He went on to attend THEE Jackson State University on a football scholarship and graduated in 1976 near the top of his academic class with a degree in accounting and has remained a TRUE BLUE fan. Deryl went on to become an accountant, finance manager at the top dealerships in the state, and later a small business owner. He owned an independent car lot and an accounting and tax firm.
Deryl loved spending time with his family until the Lord called him home.
He will be forever cherished in the memories of his devoted wife of 46 years, Pamela Bullock Knox; his four sons: Deryl Jr. (Danya), Derian (Micca), Der-Won, and Derron; his daughter Derica (Arthur); his honorary son Napoleon; his grandchildren: Albryonna, Daziah, Daylen, Dakota, Aiden, Ethan, Jaxon, DeQuaylyn, DeYonna, Amarion, and Denecia; his honorary grandchild Gavin; his great grandchildren: Legend and Dyson, his siblings: Charles (Virginia), Von (Myrtis), Constance (Charles) and Pierce (Christine), who preceded him in death, and two devoted nephews: Stanley (Jodie) and Vincent (Shandra). He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, Uncle Jimmy Wilson and Uncle Edward Hill.
Visitation Hours will be held Saturday 09/04/2021 from 9am - 10:30 am at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel, located at 886 N. Farish Street - Jackson, MS 39202
